CACI International has been contracted by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide acquisitions management support for the US Department of Defense (DoD).
Valued at $40m, the indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract will provide development and sustainment support for the DoD’s wide area workflow (WAWF) and electronic document access (EDA) systems over a period of three years.
The WAWF has been designed to eliminate paper from the receipt / acceptance and invoice / payments process of the contracting lifecycle.
Using WAWF, DoD has saved nearly $250m in invoice processing annually.
CACI US operations president and COO John Mengucci said: "CACI’s software and systems development expertise has helped make the wide area workflow an incredibly reliable, mission-critical system for DoD.
"This system currently processes an average of 636,000 electronic documents a month, and has resulted in significant cost savings for our customers."
